Harolbio is the first innovative line of environment and worker’s friend lubricants, which optimizes the efficiency of production processes and reduces costs. The Harolbio project was studied by a group of Italian Universities and companies led by Bellini. The European Community funded 50% of the cost of development (€1.2M) as Harolbio was recognised as an innovative and purposeful project to improve working conditions of the metalworking industry.
Harolbio is formulated with vegetable base oils, raw materials from renewable and biodegradable sources, which are not harmful to the workers’ health and with no environmental impact. It is the revolution of the lubricant’s world, which has led to awareness towards environmental sustainability and worker’s health. Harolbio ensures better performance than mineral oils, and also compared to those based on traditional synthesis esters, which can show thermal-oxidative stability problems through time because of their chemical-physical characteristics.

Choosing Harolbio means saving on both production and safety costs. Harolbio delivers a better performance than mineral oil, such as an improved lubrication and lower production costs. The consumption of electricity is also reduced by up to 3-4% and up to 7% for heavy-duty operations. Harolbio’s higher lubricity also lengthens the operating life of machining tools. In the aluminium processing, Harolbio reduces the costs connected to tools consumption by up to 40%; this figure increases to 80% in the machining of ferrous materials.
Products in the Harolbio Line are very resistant to evaporation. The low volatility reduces the cost of maintenance of the vacuum and filter systems. Harolbio has also a higher cutting power that allows obtaining better finishing surfaces than those using mineral oils. Another factor to consider is safety. Not containing mineral oils, Harolbio does not release potentially carcinogenic substances such as PAHs into the air.

HAROLBIO 0
It’s a very fluid neat cooling lubricant, free from mineral oil, formulated for lapping, smoothing, chip removal and grinding operations of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It’s formulated with state of the art raw materials, consisting of wholly saturated synthetic esters, with additives to enhance cutting performance. It’s a neat MWF, free from mineral oil, made from a mixture of synthetic base, made of steric hindrance esters, strongly stable to hydrolysis and oxidation, and E.P. cutting additives, inactive sulphur agents, greasy agents, metallic passivators, stabilizing and anti-oxidant.

It is multi-function lubricant, free from mineral oil, formulated both as high greasing power lubricant and cooling metalworking fluid for removal, deformation and pressing operations of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
It consists of a mixture of natural oils, refined with a unique method, with antioxidant additives, rust and metal passivator, which give to the product a very high thermic and oxidative stability.
HAROLBIO 5 FG has been approved in the food industry, in case of accidental food contact, according to the NSF:H1 specification.

In particular, HAROLBIO 5 FG can be used, with excellent results, in all gears production operations like slotting, toothing, broaching, shaving (exception in grinding, where HAROLBIO 1 is recommended).
It is particularly recommended for worked pieces used in the food industry..
B) As lubricant:
Circulating, splash, bath and oil mist lubrication systems, when a high greasing power with EP, anti-wear and anti-stick-slip properties product is required.

HAROLBIO SPRAY 100
Cutting oil for threaders, rolling, tapping, etc. free from mineral oil and made by a mixture of natural, highly refined and biodegradable oils.

HAROLBIO SPRAY SUPER EP
E’ un lubrificante sintetico, a base di poliglicoli, destinato a lubrificazione di ingranaggi, cuscinetti, supporti e cinematismi operanti ad elevata temperatura, anche sotto carichi gravosi. La base impiegata ed il tipo di additivazione antiossidante, antiusura, antiruggine ed anticorrosiva garantiscono una resistenza termico-ossidativa di un lungo periodo, in assenza di morchie e residui, pari almeno a due volte e mezzo quella di un normale olio minerale. Significativo è l’elevatissimo naturale indice di viscosità della base impiegata, che assicura limitate diminuzioni di viscosità in funzione delle temperature.
Applicazione
Catene di trasporto, scatole di ingranaggi, cuscinetti, accoppiamenti, ecc. operanti a temperature elevate (come riferimento comprese tra 80 e 120°C; nelle zone più calde del serbatoio si possono raggiungere anche punte di 200°C). Supera il livello prestazionale del 12° stadio nella proza FZG (DIN 51345).

HAROLBIO WAY 100
It is a biodegradable lubricant, with a high viscosity index, for the lubrication of guides and slides. It is formulated with particular esters of natural origin and with a neat package of ashless additives against wear, oxidation, rust and foam.
It guarantees:
- High viscosity index thanks to its high mechanical strength of the employed base, without addition of improving additives, for a constancy in performance even in extreme operating conditions;
- Very natural low pour point;
- Excellent protection against wear, corrosion, rust and foam;

HAROLBIO WAY 150
It is a biodegradable lubricant, with a high viscosity index, for the lubrication of guides and slides. It is formulated with particular esters of natural origin and with a neat package of ashless additives against wear, oxidation, rust and foam.
It guarantees:
- High viscosity index thanks to its high mechanical strength of the employed base, without addition of improving additives, for a constancy in performance even in extreme operating conditions;
